There’s more to Copenhagen than the Little Mermaid

Copenhagen has been dubbed”The hippest capital in Scandinavia” because of the city’s focus on innovative design, art and gastronomy.

The city’s most interesting attractions count both classic attractions like some of Copenhagen’s old buildings and parks and newer neighborhoods like Vesterbro.

The hotel is the first of its kind in Copenhagen and is a theme-hotel inspired by the beautiful Tivoli Gardens. The hotel features lightly and heavily themed rooms with free WiFi, a fitness room, indoor pool, sky bar and sushi restaurant and much more.

At Tivoli Hotel, you are guaranteed a one-of-a-kind hotel experience!

The Tivoli Gardens

The Tivoli Gardens is one of the world’s oldest amusement parks. The amusement park was founded in 1843 by one of Copenhagen’s most active entrepreneurs Georg Carstensen.

Inspired by the Orient, The Vauxhalls of London, and the grand parties thrown in the honour of the readers of his two literary magazines, he asked King Christian VIII for permission to build an amusement park outside Copenhagen. Shortly after, The Tivoli Gardens was born.

Today the city has expanded around the Tivoli Gardens, and the amusement park is now located in the heart of Copenhagen. Tivoli Gardens is known for its many beautiful lights – all the trees are decorated with lights and in the summer period the park features fireworks at midnight every weekend.

The amusement park offers more than 25 rides varying from the calm and romantic carrousels to the thrill rides like the rollercoaster The Demon and the free fall ride The Golden Tower.

Dynamic Vesterbro

Tivoli Hotel is located in Kalvebod Brygge – a part of the trendy neighborhood Vesterbro.

30 years ago Vesterbro was a typical working class neighborhood just west of central Copenhagen, but as the city has grown, Vesterbro has been gentrified and incorporated as a vibrant part of central Copenhagen.

Today Vesterbro is the home of the young and trendy, and the area houses many students, artists and young families. Vesterbro also features a wide range of cafés, restaurants and bars, and especially in Kødbyen (Copenhagen’s Meat packing district) you can find some very hip and trendy restaurants and bars.
